A sustainable approach to neighborhood living

An Old Fashioned Neighborhood

Cohousing is an intentional community of private homes clustered around shared space.
Each attached or single family home has traditional amenities, including a private kitchen. Shared spaces typically feature a common house, which may include a larger kitchen and dining area, laundry and recreational spaces. Shared outdoor space may include parking, walkways, open space and gardens. Neighbors share resources while maintaining independent lifestyles. Cohousing is designed by future residents, making it unique to anything available in Spokane.
  • Have you had a conversation with a neighbor lately?
  • Do you feel comfortable knocking at the house next door for an egg?
  • Do your kids have neighborhood play dates, no coordination needed?

In a cohousing community, the answer to these questions is yes!
